Talkbox Tips:

1. The diameter of the talkbox tube. The standard tube I got with the Heil talk box is just to big.
Goto your local hardware store and experiment with smaller diameter size tubes. I bet you'll
produce clearer better pronouced talkbox tones straight away.

2. The yamaha DX100 is not the only synth to use with your talkbox. I've heard many great tones
from many different synths. Any synth with a saw tooth patch will produce a good talkbox tone.
Experiment with what you have.

3. Practice over a piece of good music. You'll be surprised with the hooks you'll come up with.

4. Search Youtube.com for talk box info and many sound demos. Its amazing what you can learn.

5. My talkbox setup. Im using a custom box. I replaced the original horn driver in my Heil talkbox with
a EV 1823m horn driver. This is the same horn driver used in the famous Golden Throat talkbox.
This is probably the favourite driver used by most serious talkboxers. I use patches from the DX100
and the studio electronics SE1-X. The mircokorg is a great sound source aswell. Im using an old
power amp, 100W with bass and treble adjustment.
